Pink sand beach

When I used to watch The Backyardigans I thought that Pink sands beach was just made up by them. However, I found out that Pink Sands really exists. The pinkish color comes from small, single-celled organism refered as the Sea Strawberry.

California Condors







According to this 1986 NYT article, there were only 6 California condors in the wild. A year later, this species became extinct in the wild, with these 6 all being "Rounded up". Them, along with 21 more in captivity, were raised in California and their population was significantly increased.  In 1991, Californian condors was reintroduced in the wild. As of December 2016 there are 446 condors living wild or in captivity.

Today I went to house of dosas. I ordered a paper masala dosas that looked good, or at least on the cover. It took so long to get our meal ready that I was about to complain. But long later, our meal was received, and it was delicious! I also wanted ice cream, but I was full and decided not to order- today was still great!

I discovered that 45,360 is the first number with 100 distinct factors.  I continued to find some more of them.

1/20/2017

Today is a very special day because it's the inauguration day of the 45th president of the USA. I watched 2 minutes of his speech. Speaking of speeches, I read a few speeches :
Atlanta compromise (Booker T Washington),  I have a dream (MLK),  Pear Harbor Address (Roosevelt).  I also read a few news articles including Sanitation Worker's strike in Memphis, and Jefferson's presidential win in the 1800 Presidential election.
Also, my SAT is in June and I am working on math.
 I also watched Angry Beavers  Salmon sez ...

1/9/2017

I woke up at 5:30 and watched Things that go hook in the night. It is an episode from the series The Angry Beavers
An hour later, I worked on SAT and Calculus .  I have now completed 65% of the total skills in differential calculus.  I worked on angular motion in physics, continued composing a solo violin piece, and started a 4-D New York puzzle.  I also started Around the world in 80 days. And of course, I played Angry Birds. Finally, I finished The blood of Olympus completing the series The Heroes of the Olympus.
